Prince Harry provides Brazil boost
BAA, the airport operator, reported the number of people flying
from Heathrow to South America's biggest nation up 89pc on the
previous year with a growing economy the main attraction.
The Government is attempting to strengthen business links with
Brazil, one of the BRIC group of countries enjoying faster growth
than the rest of the world. Last month Brazil dislodged Britain as
the world's sixth-biggest economy.
Prince Harry acted as a British "ambassador" during his Brazil
visit in between games of beach volleyball and rugby. Officials
feel his relaxed and friendly approach will provide a business
spin-off despite Argentine efforts to persuade Latin American
countries to back its anti-British Falklands campaign.
